Privacy Policy

Last updated 10 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information hassanhanif.com (the “site”) collects, why, and what happens to it. The site is run by Hassan Hanif (“I”, “me”). I’ve kept it short because the site collects very little.

The short version

  • The site does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind.
  • The only personal information I receive is what you choose to send through the contact form.
  • I use it to reply to you. I don’t sell it, rent it or share it for marketing.

Information you send me

When you use the contact form, you send your name, email address, the type of enquiry and your message. I use this only to read and answer your enquiry, and to keep a record of our conversation. The form is delivered to my inbox by an email delivery provider.

Please don’t include sensitive information such as passwords, card numbers or health details in a message.

Information collected automatically

Like every website, the server that hosts the site keeps short lived technical logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These are kept by the hosting provider to deliver the site, prevent abuse and fix problems. I don’t use them to identify you or build a profile of you.

Cookies

The site itself does not set cookies. If you choose to press “Load player” on a podcast player, Spotify’s player loads and Spotify may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. Nothing from Spotify loads until you press that button.

Third party services

The site relies on a few trusted providers. Each one receives only what it needs to do its job:

  • Website hosting, which serves the pages and keeps the technical logs described above.
  • Email delivery, which delivers contact form messages to my inbox.
  • Amazon and Credly, which serve book cover and credential badge images. Your browser loads these images from their servers, so they can see your IP address.
  • Spotify, only after you choose to load a player.

Some of these providers operate outside Pakistan, so your information may be processed in other countries. I only use providers that apply reasonable security to the data they handle.

How long I keep it

I keep contact messages for as long as I need them to respond, to follow up on any work that results, and to keep reasonable business records. After that I delete them. Hosting logs are kept and deleted by the hosting provider on its own schedule.

When information may be disclosed

I will only disclose personal information if the law requires it, for example in response to a valid request from a court or authority in Pakistan, or where it is needed to protect my rights, the site or other people from fraud or abuse.

Your choices and rights

You can ask me what personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. If you are in a country with data protection laws that give you further rights, such as the European Union, the United Kingdom or California, I will respect those rights as the law requires. To make a request, use the contact page. I may need to confirm who you are before acting on it.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and the contact form is checked and processed on the server. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, so I can’t guarantee absolute security, but I take reasonable steps to protect what you send me.

Children

The site is meant for adults and professionals. It is not directed at children, and I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent me personal information, contact me and I will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If I change how the site handles personal information, I’ll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes, such as adding analytics or a mailing list, will be reflected here before they go live.

Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, as applied in the Province of Sindh. Any dispute about it is resolved as set out in the Terms of Use.
